I was recently rear-ended at a car wash of all places. The person behind me put their car in Drive rather than Neutral. The car is only a few months old so I was very upset by the damage to my car. That person’s insurance company did not question who was at fault but first started by suggesting a different auto body shop in their network. (Against the law in CT) After getting over that hurdle, they want me to self appraise the damage and taking photos to uphold through a link they had send me. I contacted Doug at Theroux Auto Body who told me not to worry that he would “handle” this. He jumped on the phone with the insurance company and make arrangements for something to physically inspect my car. He arranged for a rental car and within a few days had my car repaired to perfection. By far, this was the best experience I have ever had with an auto body shop. Growing up in Hamden, I heard their name often, but never did any business at their shop. It’s no surprise to me that they have been around for so many years. Thanks again Doug for your professionalism.
